Napersnitsa
Pomeranets x Nitochka (Naseem)
Dam of Nasturcia and Niva

Excerpts from articles with reference to Napersnitsa:

Parkinson, Mary Jane. "Dams of Distinction: Tersk-Bred Imports". Arabian Horse World November 1983. Jay Shuler Co., Inc., Palo Alto, California. p. 258.

"Napersnitsa is one of three Pomeranets daughters in this study and the only representative of the Gazella family. Napersnitsa produced nine foals at Tersk (by Arax, Aswan, Suvenir, and Nabeg) and then was sold to Kossack Stud in Holland in 1979. In Holland, she joined her daughter Nezabudka (by Arax), who is a star producer at Forelock's Arabians. Nezabudka was 1977 International Reserve Champion Mare and 1980 National Champion Mare of Holland, and her son *Marhaba (by the Spanish-bred stallion Nagasaki) was 1977 National Champion Stallion of Holland. Two of Nezabudka's sons have been European champion colts.

Napersnitsa's daughters have been scattered by sales from Tersk. Nevolnitsa (by Aswan) was sold to Germany where she became a broodmare for Professor Fritz Koenig at Landshut, West Germany. He is the breeder of Bob Stratmore's *Penalba, 1982 U.S. and Canadian National Reserve Champion Mare and 1982 European and World Champion Junior Female at the Salon du Cheval last December. Another Napersnitsa daughter, Nasturcia (by Aswan), produced three foals at Tersk and then was sold, in foal to Nabeg, to Holland where she produced Nadejni, the Senior Champion Male and Nations Cup Reserve Champion Male at the Fourth Nationals Cup and International Day at Ascot last July.

Napersnitsa's daughter Serenada (by Suvenir) was sold to Denmark in 1976 as a two-year-old, and a daughter, Nadira (by Aswan), went to Australia as a yearling in 1977. *Nissa went to Holland in 1977 and came to the United States in 1981. She's a full sister to Nasturcia and *Niva. *Nissa was imported in foal to Namek (Arax x Neposeda) and foaled *Namen in 1982.

*Niva, another full sister to Nasturcia, Nevolnitsa, and *Nissa, came to the United States via Germany where she was a prized broodmare for Henry and Silvia Garde (Ehlert). When Bob Stratmore imported *Niva, he also brought in three of her daughters (two by Kilimanjaro and one by Kaisoon, a Nazeer son), and she was in foal to *Tamerlan (Arax x Trapecia), whom he imported from Belgium at the same time. *Niva foaled a colt, *Nikita, in 1979 and has since produced foals by *Salon and *Padron at Stratmore's Make-Believe Farm.

Howie Kale purchased Napersnitsa in 1979, and she is at Kossack Stud in Holland."
