"Platina is a rather typical Russian blending of bloodlines, in that Polish, Crabbet, and French lines appear in her pedigree. She is one of five Priboj daughters in this study and one of two Taktika daughters. Platina's full sister Ptashka is a Dam of Distinction in this study, and two of her daughters, Panel and *Panorama, are Dams of Distinction. Platina and Ptashka are full sisters of *Pietuszok, a respected sire in Russia, Poland and the United States, and of Topol, a popular sire at Tersk in the 1970s.

As a show horse, Platina won the 'Certificate of the First Degree' at the All-Union Exhibition in both 1956 and 1958. In 1956, Ptashka was Champion; in 1958, she also received the 'Certificate of the First Degree,' and their dam Taktika was Champion.

While she was winning at the All-Union Exhibition, Platina was also establishing her production record - 13 foals from 1955 through 1970. She was bred to Negatiw, Korej, Kankan, Nil, Knippel, Arax, *Salon, Aswan, and Semen over those years. Platina's Negatiw daughter was sold to Albania in 1959, her Arax son Pirs to Holland in 1972, and a Semen daughter, Pliaska, to France in 1972.

*Panama of Tersk (then known as Panama) was sold to Holland in 1971. She is the dam of two mares (sired by Russian-bred stallions in Holland) imported by Bob Stratmore: *Panntera by Kniazj (Naslednik x Kipuchaia) and *Bandola by *Muslin (*Salon x *Magnolia). She produced three more *Muslin foals in Holland from 1974 to 1976. Stratmore also imported *Palitra, a *Salon daughter out of *Panama of Tersk, foaled at Tersk in 1970.

Platina was sold after her 1970 foal was born."
