Reference Dam
Nalpa
Pomeranets x Nitochka (Naseem)
Dam of Neapol

Excerpts from articles with reference to Nalpa:

Brown Edwards, Gladys. "Russian Re-Run". Arabian Horse World November 1983. Jay Shuler Co., Inc., Palo Alto, California. p. 80.

"After Malutka came Nalpa, initiating the Gazella II family - one which admirers of Polish Arabs know and fully appreciate. In Nalpa's case the line descends through Taraszcza (by Enwer Bey), famous as the dam of Negatiw. Negatiw's full sister, Nitochka, was the dam of Nalpa and Napersnitsa, both by Pomeranets, and of Nit by Aswan. Nalpa is a winner of the Certificate of the First Degree. Nit was shown at the same time - the two were somewhat different in type, Nit having a plain, short neck and a less level croup than Nalpa's. Both also showed their dam's influence in having too-straight hind legs. We also saw one of Nalpa's produce, the very pretty chestnut filly Nesmishlenaia, as a two-year-old on the track. Napersnitsa was not shown. She is the dam of Nezabudka (by Arax), sold to Holland and the dam of *Marhaba. Among Napersnitsa's other produce are Nasturcia, *Niva (Aswan) and *Nan (Nabeg). Despite the name, *Nan is no lady. Name-wise, he shares the fate of 'The Boy Named Sue.'"
